Don't talk to Nancy Emerling, of Chattanooga, Tenn. Her bulldog made four cars — as in real-deal automobiles — into chew toys this weekend. And two of the cars happened to be police cars. This is how the Chattanooga Times Free Press described one of the incidents: While running radar at 1410 Workman Road, Officer Clayton Holmes reported he felt his car shaking and upon investigating he found the bulldog chewing on his patrol car, said Officer Rebecca Royval, police department spokeswoman.

An alleged drunken driver fleeing from police early Sunday smashed his vehicle through the wall of a Mount Zion house and struck a couple as they slept, fatally injuring the husband and seriously injuring his wife. David Hughes, 62, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:40 a.m. of what Macon County Coroner Michael E. Day called "severe head and chest trauma." The public is being urged to keep a look out at local sales and on auction website eBay for camera equipment stolen at a mayoral event in Warminster. Inspector Dave Minty, of Warminster police, said the theives who took the £8,000 worth of equipment from a stand being run by the town's CCTV rooms, at the Assembly Rooms on February 27, would be looking to sell it on. 1:11 a.m. A drunken pedestrian was reported in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue. A Steamboat Springs Police Department officer gave the individual a courtesy ride home. A 64-year-old man who crashed into the perimeter stone wall of Elmwood Golf Course remained in serious condition Sunday. Police identified the victim as Mark Mutz. A spokeswoman for Parkview Medical Center said Mutz was listed as a patient there, and in serious condition. Mutz suffered a heart attack Saturday while driving east on Thatcher Avenue, police said.

THE BRUTAL bashing of a man at Koshigaya Park has prompted a Campbelltown mother to call for the installation of CCTV cameras at the site. The woman, who asked for her name to be withheld, was with her three children when they witnessed the attack on March 3. She said her family had been eating dinner at Koshigaya Park at dusk when about eight men of Pacific Islander appearance approached another man at one of the park's barbecues and began attacking him.

The city's noise ordinance policy for car stereos will be discussed when the City Council meets Monday. Mayor Sal Garza has asked the City Council to look into noise ordinance policies, which he said need to be beefed up to combat blaring car stereos that have resulted in numerous complaints. A 25-year-old Tippecanoe man is being held in Tuscarawas County jail on open charges after he led police on a high speed pursuit Sunday through Uhrichsville and Dennison. Ptl. Mike Hickman reported that at about midnight, he saw a car stop at Main and E. 5th Sts., and as it entered the intersection, it appeared that the driver tried to conceal his identity from the officer. Hickman said the vehicle had no license plate lights, and the driver began to drive erratically and failed to signal before turning

An Amber Alert issued in Suwannee County for an unknown white 10-year-old boy has been cancelled. "The case has been resolved," said a statement from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement around 10:15 p.m. No further details were given. The alert, issued earlier in the evening was for a boy last seen at a rest area today off eastbound Interstate 10 near the Suwannee-Columbia county border.
